Kibbitznest is a 501(c)3 organization. Kibbitznest, Inc is dedicated to the preservation of quality human interaction. Our ultimate objective is to promote a better understanding of the world and its people by coming together face-to-face to experience being human by teaching, by learning, by listening, by reading, by arguing, by discussing, and by inquiring. We encourage a balance between face to face and electronic communication.

As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we encourage donations! We strive to provide the public with a very worthwhile charitable, educational, and literary benefit, and we can’t do that without you.

As a registered 501(c)3 organization, all donations to kibbitznest are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Any amount helps defray event expenses, including bringing in guest speakers and general operating expenses.

Kibbitznest accepts all types of books including fiction, popular culture, and memoirs/biography but especially needs book donations in these categories:

Humanities—including art history, literature, linguistics, philosophy, religion, ethics, music history, art and art appreciation, and theater

Social Sciences—including history, psychology, law, sociology, gender studies, anthropology, economics, and geography

Natural Sciences—including astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, botany, archaeology, zoology, geology, and Earth sciences.

Formal Sciences—including mathematics, logic, and statistics
